The Planet Studio is a professional recording facility that offers numerous services, but most importantly, it is a place where musicians, engineers and producers can focus on their creativity in an affordable, relaxed environment.

Our customers range from professional recording artists to amateur Karaoke singers and we have worked with many different musical styles and provided sound advice to a range of musical and commercial customers.

Located in the outskirts of the charming Suffolk market town of Bungay, The Planet is the compact studio of professional composer and keyboard player David Wright and incorporates the expertise of several other professional musicians and engineers. An overnight facility is available if required. David and his team are versed in modern computer based music using Logic Pro, Cubase, Reason & Garage Band. But they are also experienced with analogue equipment and all aspects of live recording and performing.

'Planet' is often referred to as a "Project Studio", or, in a major commercial studio set-up it would be "Studio 2". It's not, therefore, geared up for bands and we have no rehearsal rooms.

It is however, the ideal environment for music composition and recording, and we cater for singer songwriters, vocalists, guitarists and basically any instrument recording and production. So simply put, we can cater for solo, duo or a trio working together at any one time, but beyond that, space gets a bit tight.

We have a range of good quality mics for vocal and instrument recording and our aim is to make the music easy, affordable and fun, whatever your musical needs. We approach each project with integrity and through our combined efforts, the team at The Planet Studio will deliver an ultra high-quality product every time at an overall cost that is surprisingly affordable.

Our mastering facilities utilise 24-bit mastering through high end MAC based software and DBX Quantum hardware giving a huge range of options for any and all musical styles.

We are the ideal setting for voice overs, and we specialise in vinyl and tape transfer to CD and cleaning up analogue and digital sources where clarity is required.

We also specialise in recording and sequencer education courses that provide a first step to understanding modern digital studio techniques.

Our on-location live recording utilises a state of the art Fire wire mixing desk and Intel MacBook running Logic-Pro. In addition, we use quality mics to multitrack your recordings to ensure a professionally finished product.
